Q: Why did you do away with the thumb notch on the new Elite stick?
A: Advanced styles of play require different grip positions and our elite players were the first to grind off this thumb notch. For example high flicks require a short grip for quick rotation whereas long flat passes require the handle to be held more towards the end. Also with forceful play involved on the wall in elite competitions, some players have sustained minor injuries due to the notch locking their thumb in place. Also, the notch being in a set position was not in the correct place for all hand sizes.
